Retail and wholesale ordering with shared stock
A Saudi retailer selling to consumers online and to trade buyers needed both channels to sell from the same stock. Over 28 weeks we built the Arabic and English storefront, the order, warehouse and returns back office, and a mobile app for trade buyers.

The challenge
Each channel kept its own stock figures, so items could be oversold. Wholesale orders arrived as messages and returns were handled outside the inventory records, leaving buyers and warehouse staff unable to follow one order from payment through dispatch and return.
Our approach
A shared catalogue serves both channels, with price lists, payment terms and credit limits set per trade account. Confirmed orders reserve stock, and separate order, payment and fulfilment states make partial shipments, backorders and refunds clear. Warehouse views cover picking, packing and returns inspection, where each returned item is restocked or written off. The trade app focuses on saved lists, barcode lookup and repeat orders.
Outcome
- Retail and wholesale orders drawing on one stock record
- Partial shipments, backorders and refunds shown as separate states on each order
- Trade price lists, payment terms and credit limits applied by account
- Returns inspected item by item, then restocked or written off
